MISTRAL IS NOT a kit, NO part is available.
This is NOT a kit, but a project of a very top quality subwoofer by AudioNautes! You can trust 30-100Hz!
Prototype of Mistral: front view
We don't want to tell you a lot of words about the extraordinary preformance of this sub. Simply, this is OUR sub in OUR audio-video system. Small, powerful, it's a top quality design born from an idea of my friend Giovanni Nogler.
Most of you know that what the market offers as subwoofer is something wrong, with 50Hz @ -3dB, with +3/+5dB @ 80/100Hz: they are slow, false, without any harmonics, boom boom and nothing else.
This sub is different. It's a sub with very low frequency response but rich of harmonics.
We use this sub in OUR systems. We think that this is the best adv we can do.

Prototype of Mistral: rear view
Giovanni spent a lot of months looking for the right speaker. We didn't look for very expensive drivers, we needed a good speaker with good parameters for a little sub. We needed true 20/40Hz response. We needed a good WAF too!
The ideal speaker have good sensitivity, big magnet, less than 200gr paper cone, good power.
After many months, here is the final chioce: Peerless XLS-10.
Peerless XLS-10: notice the coil
There is also the passive version, with a 290gr cone. Eureka!
Sub-1 is very small: about 22 litres! Almost 20Hz with a great control, due to the woofer itself and the particular configuration: active device in the front panel and passive device in the rear panel.
Looking at the pictures, you can see that the power module (L C Audio ZAPpulse 2.3) is mounted inside the box. We suggest to mount it outside the box, because the chassis is CLOSED and the heat remains inside.
To build Mistral you need only the following parts:
Low cost, very high performance, very high WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor): it's a top best-buy.
