The model OTL is the only AudioNautes amplifier without audio trasformers!

This is the result of 15 years of personal research on OTL schemes and materials and for the first time ever it will offer a carbon fiber chassis (with wood), able of effective vibration damping.

Moreover, this amp is completely Single-Ended with pure triodes, meaning the output stage it's not push-pull or balanced.

In 1993 the very famous quasi-single-ended OTL power amp was born, with an article published by Bersani-Camorani on the Italian magazine Costruire hi-fi in for parts in 1994. That fantastic project never stopped so far and a few years later two versions were published on Sound Practices, one with a microprocessor controller and the other one with 3 pairs of output tubes and zero-overall feedback. In 1998 a no-limits vesion was born, the one you see in these pictures.

Thsi version is 100x50cm per channel, weight is about 100kg per channel. Consumption is about 1000W (per channel) and the output power is 25W in pure class A (8ohm).

After more than 10 years, in 2010 we will present the LAST version. The best we can find worldwide for OTL topology, no-limits.

Main features:

  • pure triode circuit
  • no transformer in the signal path
  • full single-ended topology, from input to output
  • completely zero-feedback
  • hard wiring
  • multiple choke filtering power supply
  • fixes bias for both stages
  • fast-soft recovery diodes
  • low dissipation for triodes, for a very long life
  • mono
  • ~30W @ 8ohm
  • wood and carbon fiber chassis
